Glass beads are produced by shaping free silica and lead-free glass into spherical forms. Blasting processes performed with glass beads yield softer and brighter results compared to angular abrasives.
Glass bead blasting achieves a clean, bright, and satin-like surface without causing any dimensional changes to the parts. When properly and regularly controlled, blasting with chemically inert and eco-friendly glass beads is a widely accepted method for metal cleaning and/or surface treatment.
They have no toxic or carcinogenic effects. Furthermore, since they do not cause silicosis or other respiratory diseases associated with silica sand, they are a highly preferred product in terms of occupational health and safety.
