Steel grits ensure effective surface cleaning and high surface roughness due to their angular, hard structure and long service life. Thanks to these properties, they are extensively used, especially in shipyards for shipbuilding and repair blasting, as well as in the manufacturing and repair of steel structures. They are produced in 3 different hardness grades, known in the market as GH (high hardness), GL (medium hardness), and GP (low hardness). However, GL steel grit, featuring a medium hardness grade, is the most commonly used type. While it is highly suitable for pressurized systems, it can also be used in wheel (turbine) blasting systems under certain special conditions.
